What is Colic?
Colic affects 10-30% of infants and is accompanied by excessive, high-pitched, inconsolable crying, frequently with flushing of the face, flatulence, drawing up of the legs and passing of gas.

Telament Colic Drops
Telament Paediatric Colic Drops:
May be given to babies with their feed to relieve the abdominal discomfort that they feel as a result of excess gas and bubbles in their stomach.
The active ingredient called Simethicone causes the small bubbles of gas in the baby’s stomach to join together to form a larger bubble that can be easily expelled, giving the baby relief from bloating and discomfort.

A baby’s “wind” refers to excess gas trapped in the stomach that causes pressure and discomfort. Babies get wind by swallowing air during sucking. This could be caused by sucking on a clogged or blocked nipple, empty bottle, the thumb or a blanket. Crying also causes babies to swallow air which may also cause wind.
Telament Gripe Water:
- Helps relieve the discomfort of painful wind & indigestion in babies.
- Contains no alcohol, sugar, colourants, artificial flavourants and tartrazine free.
- Contains sodium bicarbonate which helps correct increased stomach acidity.
- Also contains dill oil terpeneless which is believed to have antiflatulent and antispasmodic actions.

Telament Paediatric Gripe Water (Solution). Each 5 ml contains sodium bicarbonate 50 mg; and dill oil (terpeneless) 2.15 mg. Preservative: Nipasept 0.3% m/v. No alcohol, sugar, tartrazine, or colourant. Shake well before use. These unregistered medicines have not been evaluated by SAHPRA for their quality, safety, or intended use.
